La Filanda

Whilst let as a whole, La Filanda has been designed to give guests the best of both worlds - one large property which groups of friends and families can enjoy together, but carefully split into 3 beautifully furnished apartments, thus giving each smaller group privacy from each other when necessary. This works perfectly when a group consists of friends, or families with children of different ages / needs.
Each apartment is individually equipped with personal eating out area for those breakfasting at different times .... There is also a large outdoor eating area perfect for group eating in the evenings, and one of the kitchen tables is  extendable to cater for large groups too.
This is a lovely property, boasting wooden floors, beamed ceilings, romantic mezzanine bedrooms, wonderful views, good quality furniture, and well equipped kitchens.
With an element of notice, we can arrange for meals to be cooked by a personal chef (breakfast, lunch or dinner), babysitting services, horse riding, taxi services ....

A little about the area

Situated in an Estate Comprising of 16 hectares of land, with wonderful views at every turn, this property is a perfect rural retreat yet a 5 minute drive or so from the medieval town of Barga, with its cobbled streets, duomos, and ancient architecture. 
Barga is well known for its good quality but reasonably priced restaurants, and often outdoor concerts (mainly classical and jazz) are performed in the evenings, along with firework displays. 
There is also a station for stress free exploring. 
Closer to home and within easy walking distance is the village of Albian with its good restaurant and shop. Barga itself is about 1 hr from Pisa, 90 mins from Florence, 45 minutes from the medieval walled town of Lucca and close to the National Parks of the Apuan Alps. 
Hilltop villages abound - Exploring can be either rural or town -- The choice is yours. Airports - Pisa 1 hr, 90 mins Florence, Genoa 2 1 / 2 hrs, 3 hrs Bergamo, Bologna 2 1 / 2 hrs (Forli 3 hrs 25 mins)
