Arrival date: 6 July, 2024
We travel a lot and this is one of the best properties we've
stayed at. Wonderful surroundings and stunning view. Very clean and
well equipped house. Nice and helpful hosts. It almost felt like
visiting friends. Thank you for this week. We will definitely come
back!!

Patricia and Geir gave us a great welcome. It was like coming
home. We enjoyed every day. Cosy house and a great pool with an
amazing view. Pizzaria il Grotto is only a few minutes walk away
and very tasty. We will be back!

5 of us had a wonderful stay. The pictures don't do it justice;
the views over this beautiful part of Tuscany are amazing and the
property / its facilities are superbly designed and finished to a
very high quality. The outdoor spaces aren't overlooked at all and
the interior provided a welcome relief from the heat. Good walks
from the property too. Oh and very few mosquitos! Patricia was at
the property during our stay and was very discrete. She booked us
into the local restaurant and made excellent recommendations about
things to do in the local area. The food and drink (in the
supermarkets and restaurants) was consistently excellent quality
and low price.

We were able to enjoy a beautiful house with a swimming pool for
a week with 6 adults. Enough space for everyone. You spend almost
the entire week upstairs by the pool, where there is a kitchen with
plates, cutlery, glasses, a refrigerator and even pans. What a
pleasure to have your breakfast there in the morning, swim during
the day and eat and play a game in the late evening. The swimming
pool is kept well clean and was lovely. Environment is beautiful.
Ordered pizza twice from Il Grotto and ate at the large table in
the outdoor kitchen. Had a delicious meal at Il Grotto itself once.
Patricia and Geir are there if you need them (thanks to Patricia
for taking the photos) and for good advice on what to do in the
area. We enjoyed staying there.
Arrival 05/08/23
The villa is lovely with very comfy beds and good showers. The
pool and views are stunning. The owners live onsite and were
friendly and unobtrusive. We had a great, and very relaxing
holiday.
Arrival 29/07/23
We spent 10 days in this uniquely beautiful villa with our two
sons and had a fantastic holiday with the wonderful hosts Patricia
and Geir. The absolute highlight is the pool with the outdoor
kitchen and a fantastic view of the mountains. Within walking
distance is a pizzeria / gelateria / grocery store where you can
find everything you need for your daily needs and eat very well.
The location is great for day trips. So we were in Pisa, Lucca, on
the beach near Viareggio and also explored the nearby mountains,
mountain lakes, caves and fortresses. We can also highly recommend
renting an e-mountain bike. This allows you to explore the
beautiful surroundings. We liked it so much that we are already
planning another holiday in this villa…
Arrival 17/07/23
Patricia and Geir are super-hosts and the house with the pool and the outdoor-kitchen is a dream! Viletta is an cosy small village with a little shop (inklusice a good gelateria). The restaurant "il Grotto" is great. No chi-chi-food, just fine handmade italian food, good wines and a great view over the valley. The area is very hilly and green. There are no busloads of tourists swarming all over the countryside. So you will find a wonderful place for relaxing holidays. You can do some nice trips from Viletta to Lucca, Pisa, Firenze or Cinqueterre - but to the south of the toscany (Siena, San Gimiagno, Bolgehri) you might "endure" some longer rides. But who cares - if the house and the hosts are that good as here. And why travel so far, if you can find nice little towns like Bargha nearby. Thank you for a great time!
Arrival 28/06/23
My family of four (2 teen sons) stayed at this beautiful property in June. It is a perfect base for exploring Garfagnana by car and the property is delightful. There are 2 great restaurants within a 3-4 minute walk. The hosts are so welcoming and accomodating; it was a great overall experience. The management company sent great information about the area ahead of time (which was super helpful.) Although a little tricky to initially locate the property, it is easily accessible once you know where you are going. This was our first trip to Tuscany. I hope to stay here (same property) again!

The warm welcome from the hosts ensured a sense of well-being. The accommodation, the pool with terrace and outdoor kitchen are exactly as described, even more beautiful. Everything is clean and lovingly furnished. Thanks to the recommendations of the hosts, we were able to discover the beauty of Tuscany. Dear Patricia, dear Geir... we really enjoyed our vacation with you and thank you for everything.

Wonderfully located house with a unique view over the valley to the Alpi Apuane. The house is tastefully decorated and very clean, as is the entire complex. The pool with the outdoor kitchen was the focus of our stay. The landlady was very friendly, always available and had good tips for excursions and regional Tuscan cuisine in the area. The place offers everything you need: restaurant, bar, and a small shop. We really enjoyed the time and can only recommend the property! Especially for someone who wants to spend their vacation away from tourism.
Arrival 4 September 2021
Housing and housing are top notch. Please note that this place is a "treat" and it certainly is. All facilities are 100% and you feel really welcome in the house and the small town. Can only be recommended. We also send a happy thought to the landlord for very friendly reception, openness and not least to make it possible to visit their little gem! Regards Henrik & fam.
