We spent 2 weeks at the end of July in Tuscany in this beautiful house. The pool is great and the view magnificent. However, without the pool it would have been difficult with the temperatures. The house is superbly furnished and perfectly adequate for a summer holiday. The house is pleasantly cool at night! There is a lot to do in the surrounding area: Grotto of the Wind, mountain lakes, Lucca, Florence, Pisa etc. You can also drive to the Mediterranean, it took us 1.20 hours! It didn't bother us, but we didn't realise that there was a small road between the main house and the pool with the outbuilding. The traffic is limited to a few hikers and 1-2 cars a day! It didn't really bother us though. The landlord Paolo is great, he always had great tips and was on hand with help and advice. We had a great stay far away from mass tourism (except Pisa etc. ;-)!

We had a great week in marcione. The property was a perfect place for relaxing, swimming and local adventures. In the morning we moved to the pool area where we had all facilities during the day and in the evening we enjoyed driving to Castelnuovo di Gafagnana for dinner, a drink and some italian ice. We could consider staying there again.

We enjoyed the view of the countryside, swimming in the pool, plenty of space for two families. And the fantastic excursion destinations. It was easy to accept the various inconveniences that come with the two wonderfully old houses. There were also many small, loving details. And Paolo was very friendly and helpful.

The stay was great. Paolo was a great host who was always available and took great care of us. Pool, lots of lawn, beautiful views rounded off a very nice week of vacation.

We felt very comfortable. The holiday apartment is fantastically furnished, there is plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. There were 9 of us sitting around the large table by the pool and at the same time everyone could find a quiet place to read. Garfagnaga is a real insider tip with great little towns away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The landlord is super helpful and gives great local tips. We definitely want to come back.

Lovely pool days with wonderful views of the mountains. Large covered patio which was nice on the hot days we were there. The roof terrace for BBQ night was amazing. Cozy walking path to the village where there was a really good restaurant. There were only three bedrooms ( a small extra room in the farmhouse with a bunk bed), but large rooms so we could put clothes hangers as room dividers in the room with four beds and share a room with the teenage children. The house is 1 hour up in the mountains, but with several cozy villages in the vicinity for shopping and restaurants. Very nice reception and service by Paolo!!!

Paolo is a very nice host and the house is very pretty. The mountain view is awesome and you can easily walk through the forest to the Restaurante " Il Picco". Very good food and reasonable prices.

We 6 were very satisfied all around. The house was clean and everything worked. Paolo (the landlord) was very attentive and provided us with good tips via WhatsApp. We also experienced him as a professional musician and likeable person. A new mattress was also delivered immediately. Great area, beautiful hikes, good food, impressive excursions (including Lucca) all highly recommended.

It was a relaxing 14 days in a great house. The kids enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. The host always had great tips for trips or restaurants.

A great house with everything you need. It is worth renting the cabina, as it is located directly at the pool and you do not have to walk to the main house for the toilet. A fridge next to the pool ensures always fresh drinks and the table tennis table for some action in between. The Wifi does not work very well, but you honestly do not need ;) We highly recommend the property!

Very nice house with adjoining house and terraces with pool and fantastic view in a quiet location. About 15 minutes on foot to the town with shops and restaurants. Very clean and very well equipped kitchen. The only disadvantage was that the house is very noisy due to the simple wooden floors.
