Upstairs there are 4 comfortable bedrooms (3 double and one twin) two of which are en - suite and one of which has a small terrace overlooking the ancient village in the distance - a romantic spot for breakfast or pre dinner drinks!

Outside, there is the private pool with internal steps and stunning views; sunbathing area; eating area under pergola; covered terrace with bbq; wooden covered relaxing swing, and leading from the upstairs entrance a further terrace and a covered loggia. Plenty of outside space to seek a little privacy from the rest of your group should you so desire.

Very peaceful and tranquil yet walking distance from small village and less than a 5 min drive to a large village with all facilities.

House can be entered from first floor where bedrooms are situated or from downstairs at the living area.

A little about the area

Casa Cascianella is situated just outside the ancient village of Cascianella with its tiny population, and a 10/15 minute walk from Casciana, which is a little busier and boasts a bar and shop!

Despite the real feel of yesteryear, the stunning views and peace and quiet, it is only a 5 minute drive (or less) to the village of Piazza al Serchio with traditional local shops, supermarket, small Tuesday morning market, river, bars, restaurants and train station for easy exploring.

In terms of larger towns, there is Castelnuovo the busy market town which is 20 mins or so away, the mediaeval town of Barga 45 minutes, and the walled city of Lucca, which is a must for a day out, 1 hr 15 mins or so
