Whilst furnished in a modern style, there are traditional twists with the odd piece of period furniture, beamed ceilings and internal shutters on the windows.

The private pool is also brand new, and is currently being finished in the garden, where there will also be a bbq, sunbathing area, relaxing zone, and eating area for dining al fresco.relaxing rural living!

Parking.
A little about the area
Francesca is situated just 600m from an ancient traditional Italian mountain village which has a bar and shop, which is ideal for essentials and sitting with a drink taking in local life.
The property is also less than 5 minute drive from the larger
village of Piazza al Serchio with all facilities
including traditional shops, supermarket and Tuesday morning
market when the small village really comes alive. There are
also some bars, a couple of restaurants a river and a train station
for easy exploring.
Whilst in the depths of the countryside, the house is well located
for exploring the local market town of Catselnuovo which is a 20
minute drive, the gorgeous and popular mediaeval town of Barga
which is a 35 minute drive and the stunning walled mediaeval city
of Lucca which is say 1 hour and 10 minutes away. Pisa, with its
leaning tower is a 90 minute drive, and one can visit Florence in 2
hours. The famous Wind Caves are a 45 minute drive.
Closer to home there are plenty of little historic villages to visit, many of which have local festas in the summer. There are also the lakes of Gramalazzo, Vagli (with its hidden village submerged by the water) and Pontecosi, and some guests love to swim in the river. Francesca is also ideally located for visiting the local Fortress at Verrucole which is a good afternoon out, with stunning views and some interactive activities for the children. Also close by is the Buffardello tree climbing and zip wire park (ideal for both adults and children of all ages with a variety of runs) where one can take a picnic and spend the entire day in the welcome shade of the forest.
The real beauty of this area is the dramatic mountain scenery, and the hundreds of hilltop villages to explore, endless picnicking opportunities, and the pure peace of a non touristy holiday ......

We had a fun time exploring the area and relaxing at the

We had a wonderful holiday in this house in the heart of
Tuscany. We were very well received by our host, Francesca, and the
house and its surroundings were very pleasant! The walks enabled us
to discover some superb landscapes.

We had a relaxing, memorable stay enjoying the well-equipped
villa which is in a wonderful location for breathtaking views and
exploring hilltop villages, local lakes and Lucca. We had
everything we needed and for the few food items we wanted there are
plenty of local shops a short drive away or the very helpful and
friendly bar/shop in Casciana-also great for a beer/wine after a
walk/day out. Communication with Francesca was excellent before and
during our stay. There are plenty of local walks from the villa,
quite a lot of hills involved, however, a car is essential for
exploring further afield. We came away feeling totally relaxed and
refreshed having explored what must be some of the most beautiful
parts of Tuscany. Thank you and we hope to be back.

Great stay if you like peace and quiet. Everything is there. It
is a climb to get to the cottage and in the village itself there is
little to do so you have to go out. As the crow flies the distances
are not far but because of the mountain roads it does take
longer.

We loved staying at the villa! We had all we needed, the scenery
is breathtaking. The pool was cold but very welcoming when it was a
hot day. The garden is perfect. The villa is remote, away from it
all. But there are a lot of lovely villages to visit. The road to
the house is challenging especially when you travel with a big
Mercedes Sprinter, but the longer we stayed the more casual it
went. We will have beautiful memories of this holiday. The

We stayed for a week in this pleasant Villa. We have been fine.
Our holiday was relaxing. Long walks, swimming in the pool,
barbecues were our favorite activities. The house is well equipped
with all amenities and the swimming pool, although small, allowed
my teenage daughters not to get bored. Near Camporgiano there are
some small villages to visit. The silence interrupted only by the
sounds of nature and the beautiful view of the valley is beautiful.
If I have to find a negative side it is the comfort of the beds and
pillows, even if you get used to it after a while. Thanks to
Francesca, host always available and very friendly.

We had a great holiday in this cottage. The landlady is very
friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips for trips and
restaurants. The house has great facilities such as pool, air
conditioning and WiFi. It is in a very quiet location on the
mountain, the nearest small town is a few hundred meters away. We
had a very relaxing holiday!

We were very well received and it was very pleasant to enter this house which is clean and smells good! Everything corresponds to the photos and it is also very well equipped. You would think that without air conditioning we would not survive but it is a very cool house. We stayed with a 16 month old boy who moved a lot! And the house is suitable for easy supervision and so that the little one can have a lot of fun! Obviously there is always something to watch out for, especially with the swimming pool! The host and his little family are also on top and present if necessary. My only negative point which can be seen as positive for others is that it's a little too far from everything. But then I come from a big city... In any case you can go there with your eyes closed. Thanks again to Francesca and her family :-)

Very nice accommodation with great location also optimal for dog as everything is nicely fenced. Accommodation clean and with everything attentive and lovingly decorated. Everything you need for the holiday. Very nice landlady. Optimum price/quality ratio. Just to recommend
