In the heart of the Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca, can be found the newly built Yellow Casciana, a two bedroom property with garden, covered eating area and good sized private pool.
The house is within walking distance of a small ancient village and only a couple of minutes in the car to a larger village with all facilities
The house is situated all on one level and has a well equipped
open-plan living / kitchen / diner, with all facilities. The
kitchen boasts a washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge
/ freezer and microwave. In the living area there is a cd player
and dvd player.
There are also two bedrooms - one double and one twin and a
bathroom with tub and separate shower cubicle.
Outside there is a good size garden and at the back of the house,
a covered eating area, leading up to decked pool of 10m x 5m, with
views of the mountains beyond.
This is a good opportunity to have a holiday with toal privacy, yet at a reasonable price.
House opens into open plan living / kitchen / diner.
Living area has Dvd, cd player, and a sofa bed for one.
Diner kitchen has washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob,
microwave, fridge / freezer and eating table
Living area leads through to hallway from where the two bedrooms
can be found - one double and one twin.
There is also a bathroom with tub and separate shower
cubicle.
Outside there is a flat garden, covered eating area, and a private
pool terrace with decking surrounding the 10m x 5m pool with views
of the mountains in the background.

A little about the area
This house is situated a 15 minute walk (less on the way
back, since the area is hilly!) from an ancient village Which has a
bar and shop, and a 20 min walk (much more on way back!) or Less
than 5 minute drive from the larger village of Piazza al Serchio
with all facilities.
Facilities include, traditional shops, supermarket, market
Tuesday morning when small village really comes alive; river;
station for easy exploring, bars and some
restaurants.
In the depths of the countryside, high in the valley the
house is a 1 hr 15 minute drive north of Lucca. The market town of
Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is a 20 minute or so drive; Barga is 40
minutes .....< br />
The real beauty of this area is the dramatic mountain
scenery, and the hundreds of hilltop villages to explore
......

Our holiday was just great. The holiday home is secluded and
very quiet. You can spend the day relaxing by the pool or grab the
car and explore Tuscany. The area is super beautiful in the middle
of the mountains. It always gets a bit chilly in the evening,
perfect for sitting outside and sleeping. The only downside I would
mention is the location. Narrow mountain roads as far as the eye
can see. This means that even the shortest walks to the supermarket
can be very time-consuming. It wasn't a problem for us, the
surroundings are just great. We also just drove into the blue and
had a great holiday. Super relaxing holiday, gladly again.
Arrival day: 10 August, 2024
After an exhausting journey (driving alone), we arrived at the
address given after about 14 hours (2.5 hours in a traffic jam at
the Gotthard tunnel). Unfortunately, our satnav hadn't navigated
very accurately, so we couldn't find our long-awaited destination.
One call to the agency and in a few minutes Paolo was standing in
front of us and led us to his little house in another five minutes.
It is very spacious, functionally furnished and has everything you
need for your stay. The only thing we missed was a coffee machine.
But we were fine with the instant coffee we had brought with us.
The approach is an adventure in itself due to the sometimes narrow
and winding roads. The numerous motorcyclists and cyclists make it
even more exciting. Unfortunately, the peace and relaxation comes
at the price of remoteness, which means that a certain amount of
time is required for every excursion. The cities of Lucca, Pisa and
Massa are no less than 1.5 hours away, and Florence is even more
than 2.5 hours away. However, if, like us, you are looking for
peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Paolo is a very helpful
and nice landlord. He was always easy to reach and answered our
questions very quickly and satisfactorily. Tip, we used a
translation app and WhatsApp for communication. That worked really
well. All in all, we had two very relaxing weeks and were able to
return to everyday life well rested.

We had wonderful days in Bella Italia. The house has everything
you need for everyday life, the crackling fireplace in the cool
evening is absolutely cozy (wood is available), and the pool is in
a fantastic setting, the property is extremely well maintained The
property is located on a side road with little traffic between
Piazza al Serchio and Casciana, from Casciana itself you have a
wonderful view over the valley. Lucca, Pisa, Barga, Cinque Terre
and the surrounding small towns are all easy to reach and worth
seeing, but you should allow more time for the journey because of
the narrow, winding mountain roads, which are an experience in
themselves in places... We liked it But it was less of a bother, we
had a super relaxed, wonderful holiday.

everything by car in a few minutes.
It is worth visiting Florence Lucca Pisa.

Family vacation among us If you love it secluded and exclusive, this is the place for you! The property is situated on a mountain slope, on a side road with little traffic, about a kilometer from the nearest village of Casciana. One is dependent on a car and the location in the valley is not so well suited for daily city trips. Otherwise no neighbors, nobody, only the owner Paolo, who takes care of the property and the pool until 7 in the morning. But you don't get that. He can be reached at any time if there is a problem (e.g. power failure due to a storm). The equipment is a bit old, but everything is of high quality (only older). Anytime again, it was a great holiday.

We spent two weeks of relaxation in this property surrounded by greenery. Four adults and du
and dogs. The house lived up to our expectations. Fenced property essential to leave animals or children free, well-kept garden and swimming pool. Definitely recommend it to those who love country life and silence. The house equipped with the necessary. Overall some improvement would make it a great place.

This vacation home exceeded all of our expectations! It's a small house on a huge lot. It is in an absolutely secluded location, so that you can enjoy your stay in peace. The house is typically Tuscan rustic and has everything you need for everyday life. The property is a dream and offers a wonderful view of the Apuan Alps! The pool is fantastic and can be used by four because of its size! Our dog also felt at home straight away. The property is closed all around so that our Luna could enjoy all freedom. The landlord is super discreet, he comes between 6 and 7 in the morning to clean the pool! But you don't notice anything about it! Otherwise you are completely to yourself. The mountains are easy to get to from the house, but visiting the beach by car is no problem either. We really enjoyed our stay and can absolutely recommend this property!
